Haere mai! Welcome to Nicolai Skiveren, our new Postdoctoral Fellow

A worm welcome to Nicolai, a new postdoctoral fellow on the project. He will be collaborating with Luisa Leo, our other postdoctoral fellow, both of which are now housed within the fantastic team of Macmillan Brown Research center for Pacific Studies here at the University of Canterbury. Nicolai will be drawing on his expertise in corpus-assisted discourse studies (CADS), empirical ecocriticism, and ecomedia. His work bridges qualitative textual analysis with empirically grounded (digital) research tools, which he uses to help investigate how deep-sea mining is framed and contested across discourses and platforms. Nicolai defended his PhD in 2022.
