Haere mai! Welcome Luisa Leo, Project Postdoctoral Fellow
We are delighted to announce that Luisa Luisa Moana Leo Tupuana'i, will be joining the “Governance of Deep-Sea Mining (DSM) in the Pacific” research team as the project’s postdoctoral fellow on April 1st. We would like to warmly welcome her into the team and we all look forward to working with her.
Luisa has successfully defended her doctoral degree here at the University of Canterbury! She’s been researching how the wellbeing of the Samoan diaspora may be affected by migration and climate change and examining the ways in which adaptation and wellbeing intersect. Her Ph.D. research process has involved stakeholder engagement with the Samoan community in Ōtautahi Christchurch. She also has a wealth of experience in both qualitative and quantitative field work and with this expertise, Luisa will play a significant part in the project’s ongoing field work throughout 2025 and of course, outputs.
Haerea mai Luisa!
